RustDesk – this is a free software for a remote desktop, works directly out of the box without any adjustment and can start without installation. You can use a public server or place your own, as well as deploy an open source server program to improve security and speed up access. The software also provides a beta version of a web application for remote control.

The application is used for local access to the desktop interface of the remote computer, as if you were physically present in the system. The software also allows you to access the data and resources of the remote system if the remote access user is provided with the necessary permissions.

Features:

• Security: RustDesk offers through encryption, making it very safe. Also supports access control, which is based on the roles to restrict access of authorized users
• Console: You can browse the logs, track, manage access and permissions provided to different users, using the console
• Compatibility: the software runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. There is a web version that is in the beta testing stage

The interface is very simple and organized. On the vertical panel on the left displays your ID and password, which you must inform users who wish to gain remote access to your desktop. If you want to remotely access another system, enter its ID in the ‘Control Remote Desktop’ field in the top right corner of the window and click the connection button. The bottom panel displays information about your latest sessions, chosen and so on.
